08/30/2010: Studio Solana Changes are Underway! Hello everyone! Changes have begun for the new look and feel of my business! While I'm still several months away from completing the migration, you can get a sneak peek of what the new website will look like by visiting: www.studiosolana.com. The site is still being built, so please bear with me as I get more features added! My goal is to go live with the new site on January 1st, 2011! Now that we're almost in September, it's time to mention our annual bead show! We'll again be in Kirkwood, MO for Glass Galore, which is hosted by the Saint Louis Lampworkers Society! Details below: When: Saturday, October 16th, 2010 Where: Kirkwood Community Center (Kirkwood, MO) Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Cost: $2/adult (kids under 12 and under are free) Please note the date change! We're a later this year than usual! Also, I'll still be selling under the "SirWatson Designs" name at Glass Galore and also at the show hosted by my employer, Edward Jones (which takes place in December). 05/31/2010: SirWatson is getting a new name and design! SirWatson Designs was born in late 2003 when I knew there would be no turning back from my new hobby of making glass beads. My puppy, Watson, seemed like the perfect inspiration for my business, thus SirWatson was born. Even though it was a strange name, it was easy to remember and most of all included my beloved dog, but as the years have creeped by, I've felt a growing need to update my business's look and feel. A "redesign" if you will. Watson will soon turn 10, and the realization that he won't always be with me frequently comes to the front of my mind. It's not that I don't care to have my business named after him anymore, but more a reinvention of my art and brand to include more influences that directly relate to me. The name of my new endeavor will be Studio Solana, and it encompass all of my hobbies: lampwork beads, jewelry, knitting, sewing and web design. A new logo is almost complete, and changes to the site will begin shortly. What does this mean for my customers? Absolutely nothing! :) I will continue to make high-quality beads and jewelry, and hope to become more frequent with listing items to Etsy. SirWatson.com will eventually point to my new domain StudioSolana.com, but those changes will take some time to complete. In the meantime, if you have any questions about my products or anything else related to my website, please don't hesitate to contact me! 02/05/2010: Etsy Boutique & Inspiration! Hello everyone! Just a friendly reminder that I have lots of ready-to-wear goodies in my Etsy boutique! All of the items would make a great gift, and the chocolate beads are especially fun as a Valentine's Day gift for your sweetheart. :) So, it's hard to believe I haven't been behind a torch in months! With the holidays and the new year's rush of activities, I just haven't had time! Plus, I haven't had a lot of inspiration to jumpstart my creative juices.
